A Community Resource for Counseling and Education
Individual, Couple and Family Therapy
Marriage and Family Counseling Service is a community-sponsored resource for counseling and education in marriage and family life. The service is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and derives its financial support from the United Way of the Quad Cities, grants, and fee income.
The Counseling Program: The counseling programs that comprise the agency's work are: The Family Counseling Program, the Spanish Family Therapy Program and the Prevention of Abuse Program.
Marriage and Family Counseling Service serves the Quad City area including the following Illinois and Iowa cities of Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline, East Moline and Silvis.
The Residency Training Program: MFCS also offers twelve-month residencies in marital and family therapy. Applicants must have at least a master's degree, or its equivalent, in marital and family therapy. The residency year begins on August 1.
The Hiebert Institute: There are two professional education programs and one degree program in the Hiebert Institute: the Certificate for Excellence in Marriage and Family Therapy, the Leadership Development Certificate, and Doctor of Psychology and Doctor of Ministry degrees in marriage and family therapy through the Graduate Theological Foundation.

that embraces and promotes a culture of continuous quality
improvement.
4. Marriage and Family Counseling Service provides educational
opportunities for marriage and family therapists and for
organizational leaders.
5. Marriage and Family Counseling Service is a community partner and
collaborates regarding marriage and family counseling services in
our market area.
