RESIDENCY IN MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY

Marriage and Family Counseling Service's internship opening is posted each January for a full-time resident in marriage and family therapy for beginning in August or September.  Applications are accepted after January 1 of each year. Download the application.

ELIGIBILITY: An earned master's degree in marriage and family therapy. -At least 500 hours of clinical experience in the practice of therapy. -At least 75 hours of supervision of the practice of therapy.

STIPEND: $18,500 for 12 months; residents may remain for a second year. -Major medical and dental insurance for residents. -$550 conference allowance.

SUPERVISION: Supervision will be conducted by AAMFT Approved Supervisors and will be credited towards AAMFT Clinical membership or licensure. -William J. Hiebert, D.Min., Fellow and Approved Supervisor, AAMFT -Derek Ball, Ph.D., Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor, AAMFT

STARTING DATE: Residents may begin as early as August 1,but no later than September 1.

AGENCY: Marriage and Family Counseling Service is a community sponsored resource for counseling and education in marriage and family life, serving Rock Island County (Illinois) and Scott County (Iowa). The Service is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and derives its financial support from the United Way of the Quad Cities, gifts, grants from local institutions, and fee income.
